Helio & Missy

A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure of spending some time with two special dogs. They patiently tolerated my camera and I was able to capture a few good shots.

Meet Helio and Missy…

Who could resist that face? Seriously, I have a major Whippet crush. If I didn’t already have a kitty I would want one of these guys…

I managed to capture this one while Helio waited for his favorite toy to be tossed. Such a handsome boy!

Aren’t they lovely? I have always had a thing for Greyhounds and Whippets…to me, they are so elegant. With their big woeful eyes, gentle demeanor and long legs they remind me of a fawn.

Pretty Rooms: Summer Hues

Yesterday was blissfully sunny and today…non-stop rain…ah tis the Northwest way and while it can be slightly annoying, I can’t complain (too much).

I spent yesterday treasure hunting and running around town, with the windows open, inhaling the sunlight and today, while the rain falls, I can reflect on my finds, do some photography editing and yes…blog about pretty rooms that remind me that summer is not too far away…

Take a break and wander through this light filled home…I’m completely enamored with the soothing palette of blues, yellows and greens. Dreamy!

In the garden…

Hello friends! Hope you had a lovely weekend. I spent some time in the garden and took lots of pictures. I’m totally in love with the wisteria vine that covers the trellis on our deck. It smells heavenly and looks so pretty with fairy lights strung about. The blooms on our pink dogwood tree are fading but they are still so pretty in the last light of day…

The sun has been a little elusive since…but I’m hoping to see it’s shining face again soon!

Dining Al Fresco…

The past couple of sun filled days have been blissful. Although Grace has been home from school with a cold, I still made sure we spread a quilt out on the lawn and rested in the sunshine.

In the summertime, we spend most evenings outside, grilling fresh food, sipping cold wine and taking it all in. I’m longing for those days…so I thought I would share some simply gorgeous images of outdoor dining done to perfection…
