Pretty Rooms: Summer Hues

Yesterday was blissfully sunny and today…non-stop rain…ah tis the Northwest way and while it can be slightly annoying, I can’t complain (too much).

I spent yesterday treasure hunting and running around town, with the windows open, inhaling the sunlight and today, while the rain falls, I can reflect on my finds, do some photography editing and yes…blog about pretty rooms that remind me that summer is not too far away…

Take a break and wander through this light filled home…I’m completely enamored with the soothing palette of blues, yellows and greens. Dreamy!

Dining Al Fresco…

The past couple of sun filled days have been blissful. Although Grace has been home from school with a cold, I still made sure we spread a quilt out on the lawn and rested in the sunshine.

In the summertime, we spend most evenings outside, grilling fresh food, sipping cold wine and taking it all in. I’m longing for those days…so I thought I would share some simply gorgeous images of outdoor dining done to perfection…

Summer Days

This past weekend the weather was amazing. Sunny, clear and warm.

Like good Portlanders we got out and did the things you are supposed to do when the sun comes out!

We went to the farmer’s market and gobbled up tons of fresh berries. Yum.

We filled the house with fresh blooms and…

adored the garden.

And of course, we went barefoot in the cool, green grass.
