Designer Love: Lisa Bengtsson

I’m not sure why Scandinavian designers are so darn fabulous…but they are. There’s no denying it. One of my favorites is the very talented Lisa Bengtsson. Her bold, fearless textiles are amazing! Incorporating a myriad of patterns and vintage images is no easy feat, but Lisa masters it beautifully. I have been drooling over her work via her website. Definitely worth checking out, but be warned, unless you are fluent in Swedish, you won’t be able to understand a word. Using my little friend, Google Translate, helps me cheat.

Eclectic and glamorous, just one of her pillows in your favorite chair is sure to be a conversation starter and guess what? You can buy her gorgeous designs here in the US via Huset! (My new fav online shop).

Thank you Scandinavia! We love you!

Happy Shopping!

Design your own textiles with Spoonflower

Have you ever been hunting for the perfect fabric? It’s so clear in your mind, yet you wander the store, scanning the bolts, clutching your color swatches and praying that the ideal print will jump out at you. It can lead to a desperate situation.

Well fear not, Spoonflower is here to save the day and your design! You can now upload your custom design and have your one of a kind textile printed and shipped to you for a very reasonable cost ($18-$32/yard) with no minimum order! Sounds like  dream huh?

Not only that but they use an eco-friendly digital printing system and you get to shop the gazillions of designs submitted! It’s a virtual fabric wonderland! They even have fabric design contests each week to really inspire your creative juices!

I love this whole concept! Here are a few of my favs right now for Spring…(I know it is still away off, but a girl can dream)…

Seriously though, there is something for everyone at Spoonflower! And if not…design your own!

Are you a fabric lover? What kind of patterns do you adore?
