Early to Bed

Sleep – it’s something that I don’t give enough attention to these days.

My husband and I have gotten into the very bad habit of staying up past 1 am, working away on our computers…

We are tired. Exhausted.

So tonight, I am determined to go to sleep early. Like 9:30 early.

While on my usual evening peruse of Flickr tonight, I was inevitably drawn to this lovely photostream by Yvette Inufio. Her works is sublimely feminine, soft, light filled and so soothing to my weary eyes.

These beautiful images are sure to lull me to sleep – 8 to 10 hours of it, if I’m lucky.

Sweet dreams.

Ivy

White done right

Often white walls are considered boring, but when white is done right it can be brilliant.

White works when it looks intentional.

Balanced with warm textures and pops of color a white palette can be calming, fresh, clean and inviting.

Facing the possibility of a rental home with lots of white walls, (that I’m not allowed to paint) I thought I better find some inspiration!

Check out these fabulous white interiors…

Have a great Tuesday!

Dream home…

We have begun the hunt for our new home. It’s an emotional and exciting journey, however, I am not the most patient creature and I am anxious to find a new nest.

A beautiful rental home has crossed our path and we are awaiting approval…a two to three day process! Painful.

SIGH…

I hate waiting…so in the meantime I thought I’d dream a little.

What would my DREAM home look like? A dash of castle, a sprinkle of cottage and a generous dollop of fairytale…

I came across a Flickr gallery by Linda Yvonne depicting the whimsical cottages of Carmel, California.

I’m so in love…

Ivy

Supplier Saturday @ Seven Planet

I was lucky enough to be the featured Supplier at Seven Planet this weekend.

It was a glorious day in Portland…sunny AND warm…an irresistible combination to the sun-starved Oregonians. People were out in droves, wearing their flip-flops and shades.

Grace got to hang with me and "help" set up

I took up residence behind the “Tea Bar” in the light filled space that is Seven Planet’s home.

Grace and Ivy products lined the bar and I got to wear my Grace & Ivy apron that my husband bought me for Christmas.

Anxiously, I waited for customers to enter the store, eager to give away the goody bags I had  filled with samples of our products.

People trickled into the store, sun drunk and smiling. I got to meet some wonderful people, scrub their hands with our brown sugar scrub and share information about the products. All in all it was a great day and a great experience.

Our new Lavender & Chamomile Baby Wash & Lotion

Thank you to Seven Planet for opening your doors to Grace & Ivy and thank you to everyone who stopped by and showed their support.

It meant so much to me.

Ivy

Easter Decorating

With St. Patty’s Day behind us, Grace is already begging me to decorate her holiday tree with Easter ornaments. She is requesting, eggs, bunnies and her favorite…hearts. So today, while looking for inspiration I came across some beautiful Easter eye candy here.

I’m in love with these silver eggs…so pretty.  How to make them…click here.

The perfect table setting for a sunny Easter brunch….

Might try to make these beaded egg ornaments with Gracie. They are so precious.

Whatever your traditions are for Easter…make your nest beautiful.
