Pretty Bachelorette Pad

I found this adorable space via this blog and I am so in love with this tiny little home.  Such a treasure of eye candy and lovely details. Perfectly arranged and so pretty! Had to share…

Don’t you love the soft colors, vintage finds and the natural light? I could definitely spend some time here…

Mother’s Day in Seattle

Chris surprised me with a Mother’s Day trip to Seattle! Yah! Early Sunday morning, we loaded up the car and off we went. We rented a sweet little condo in the heart of Belltown. Perfect!

This was our view…

You can’t go to Seattle without a trip to Pike Place Market

Here is the little stowaway that came home with us and became the star in my crab linguine.

Brunch at Lowell’s was pure perfection and my mocha…blissful…

Grace and Princess (her puppy) enjoyed their buttermilk pancakes and watching the ferries cross the bay as proud papa looked on…

I went home with a huge bouquet of tulips! What a fabulous Mother’s Day…lucky me. I felt truly blessed.

Golden hour

Hi there,

Yesterday was so beautiful and sunny and today we are back to the rain…sigh…Spring is such a tease!

Oh well…in the meantime, I’ve been doing some more digital art and I wanted to share this one with you…

“Golden hour”

Don’t you love that time of the day when the sun turns everything to gold? It’s my favorite. A dear friend once informing me that it is called the gloaming hour. I love that.

If you can, go outside during this magical time. Look around you and marvel at the beauty of it…

Etsy Love: Sue Gray Jewelry

Today it is glorious outside! Not a cloud in the sky and I’m considering moving my laptop outdoors…but before I end up being distracted by the lovely sunshine, I had to share an amazing jewelry store on EtsySue Gray Jewelry. Her seal stamped pendants are so beautiful. I’m having a hard time picking which one I want for Mother’s Day! Sue is a lover of history (like me) and her vast collection of antique wax seals are used to produce these amazing treasures. Some of the seals date back to the 1700’s!  Look at how gorgeous they are…

With so many to choose from, you are likely to find the perfect one for you! Which is your favorite?

Okay the sun is calling….hope your week is going well!

Birds of a Feather…

Hello friends! Hope your weekend was relaxing. Ours was filled with birthday parties and time in the sun – a lovely pairing!

Last Friday, I started my day with a trip to the hairdresser….yah! My hair was in desperate need of some love. While my stylist was washing my hair, I noticed a tiny sliver of feather hanging just below her ear. It was subtle but so pretty and whimsical – I knew I must have one. It felt a little rebellious to ask for one in my hair but I went for it!  So, here it is…I think I want more! Can you see it?

Doing something a little different like this makes me feel bold, like I’m stretching beyond my rather conservative (boring) norm. It’s amazing how just little baby steps outside our comfort zone makes us grow. What’s next a tattoo? Probably not…but you never know…

I guess with this whole bohemian trend in fashion, it’s no surprise that feathers are showing up in women’s tresses. Check out these other looks…

So pretty! Don’t want to commit to a feather extension? try a clip from Etsy.

What do you think? Would you put a few feathers in your hair? What is something that you could do outside your own comfort zone?
