Hello Friends! I’m Robin Laws and I am delighted to guest post on Ivy’s blog today. I’m an artist and the co-teacher along with Ivy for the upcoming Paint and Pixels class. Many artists inspire us but one in particular really does some outstanding work on her mobile devices, including her iPad! Her name is Sarah Jarrett and I wanted to show you some of her incredible work…

Gorgeous right? She really knows how to blend digital painting, photography and digital elements to create provoking, beautiful and layered work! We are both BIG fans! Such inspiration! In the Paint & Pixels class we will be doing a similar Self Portrait project! It’s going to so exciting to create! i can’t wait to experiment with technology and paints… It’s very intriguing to me!!! Wooohooo!!
The digital art here is amazing. I use a “Pencil” stylus on my Ipad mini along with the Sketchbook Express and Paper apps. I am sharing this on FB.
I’m so excited for this class. I’m most looking forward to using my iPad to get brave by trying new techniques without the fear of ruining a piece. There is something so lovely about the many layers that can be added to achieve depth and emotion. Plus, I’m a huge Sarah Jarrett fan so anything that will give me a taste of what she creates has got to be good.

What an awesome and generous givaway!
I have only used my iPad to make a few simple line drawings using Paper 53.
This e-course is a much needed opportunity to be able to learn how to really use my iPad and the drawing apps. It will get out of my comfort zone of thinking I can only create art the traditional way using paint, pencil and paper….

I am very excited to learn to use my ipad creatively. I have tried a little before and usually didn’t like the result. I tried a couple apps you mentioned and loved it. I think I could get lost in it for hours, and am excited to have another creative outlet and a way to create on days that were to busy to get to my physical paints :) thanks so much for this opportunity. I use traditional media for my art, but I’m very familiar with using Photoshop for my photography. I’ve always been intrigued by the idea of making digital art, but it seemed so intimidating to me. I was thrilled when I came across this course! I’m hoping to learn what apps to use, and just how to go about making some of these gorgeous artworks and then transferring them back to canvas. :)

What which iPad do you recommend ?
Hi, I can hardly wait for the class to start! I’ve had ProCreate on my iPad for a while and have made a few attempts at using it but haven’t stuck with it, so the class will be perfect to give me some structure to my learning. Looking forward to bringing some of my sketches into the app and “painting” them. Will be great for travelling when I don’t want to carry a lot of art supplies.

I’m super excited for this class to begin. I only recently dipped my toes into creating digital art and it’s so fun! But, there is a lot to learn. I’m looking forward to learning the tips and tricks that you gals have learned from your trials and errors!

I have always been a “creative dabbler”, and feel as if this class is finally bringing together all the dabbling I’ve been doing in the last five years: painting, drawing, photography, mobile photography, and my own poetry. I’ve felt strongly that my iPad/apps could somehow bring this all together into a very satisfying form of creative expression, and this class is like a dream come true. I’m so excited! I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to have these amazing prizes. I can’t wait to start this class!! September feels like it’s too far away :) I’m hoping to learn how to draw in the details once I’ve added all the layers and filters that I love. I also can’t wait to learn how to draw faces in procreate. I currently use my iPhone and iPad to create some magical art pieces. I love digital arts!! And I shared this on my Facebook page.

I’m a huge fan of Sarah’s – thanks for including her work here. I’m already using my iPad to edit and paint over images but really want to learn more about Procreate and also printing our work once it’s finished.

This is a fantastic giveaway! I am excited about the upcoming class, and hope to learn some creative ways to integrate some of the different mediums I work in. In particular, I have been doing a lot of monoprinting, and bringing them into the iPad or Photoshop to enhance. I am excited about learning new creative ways to do this!
