Now Open – Register for The Art of Sisterhood

I’m thrilled to announce that registration for The Art of Sisterhood is now OPEN with a special early bird price too! This is a brand new course that focuses on celebrating women and celebrating art. I’m so honored to be one of the guest teachers.

The goal of this course is really to emphasize the value of women to each other, the value of love and support, and the value of sisterhood.

TAOS is for anyone that is looking to unite with other women, feel more connected, and dig deeper into the creative journey. TAOS will be a safe place for you to share your own personal stories as they relate to those that are shared with you.  TAOS is a place where we hold space for each other, as it is needed, and when it is needed.  TAOS is for YOU!

Happy Mug & Art Supply Giveaway

Hello creative friends!

How’s your week been? We are in the big thaw out after waaayyy too much snow in Portland. What a mess. So, I’ve been cozy inside having far too much coffee in my brand new mug BUT look how cute it is!

Look, don’t ask me why but fun mugs make me happy! THIS mug makes me VERY happy! It also completely describes my life! When I fill it up to the brim with yummy coffee and head on up to the studio, it makes me smile. Now, that, my friends is a good way to start your morning, right?

A NEW way to create

Hello creative friends!

It’s a snowy day here and I’m just getting ready to start painting but before I do, I wanted to drop in and say hello and share some art with you.

The students in Between Shadow & Light are making some amazing discoveries and creating such beautiful, soulful portraits! I’m completely thrilled to hear they are learning that their non-dominant hand has much to offer and can open up a NEW way to engage in their creativity.

An Art Tutorial for you!

Hello friends!

Happy New Year! I hope your 2017 is off to a beautiful start.

I have been very busy preparing lessons for my new class and I was challenged by a fellow artist to create a piece of art inspired by one of her wonderful ballet photographs. I couldn’t resist, so here it is! In my usual style, she goes through several transitions. I worked quickly and loosely with both my dominant and non-dominant hands. I hope you enjoy.
