Hello everyone!

I am going to be teaching on –  Ever After this year! PLUS even MORE exciting news is that I can GIVE AWAY 1 FREE SPOT on this magical new collaborative art course! First let me tell you a bit more about Ever After in case you haven’t heard about it yet! “Ever After” is a mixed media art & style development course with a fairytale theme hosted by Tamara Laporte from Willowing Arts. Tam is joined by 15 popular mixed media art teachers who will all share beautiful fairy-tale & myth inspired lessons with you AND they will also divulge all their hints and tips on how they developed their own style and how YOU TOO can find your own unique voice as an artist! :) Yay! You can find out all the details (and sign up with the Early Bird price) by clicking HERE

My chosen tale is Hades & Persephone! My lesson will be inspired by this myth and I already have some fabulous ideas brewing! I’ve not fully developed my lesson idea yet, but I’m excited to be sharing an expressive style of portraiture, involving layering of different media and glazing techniques! Our goal will be to create mystery, beauty and atmosphere. I’m thinking rich colors, moodiness and emotion….all my favorite elements… similar to some of my other portraits…

Registration opens on May 17th 2017 and the class begins on July 1st 2017.

So, if you want to start your summer drawing and painting fairy-tales and myths, exploring your own personal story and style and hang out with a wonderful creative community of like-minded souls, be sure to join once registration opens! :)

Keep this page bookmarked so that you can sign up the moment it goes on sale!

Now then, onto the give-away and blog hop! :)

Hi, Ivy! I have shared the post on FB and signed up for your newsletter – I think I already am, but I made sure! I would like to join Ever After because this year I am exploring ways to find inspiration and think that fairy tales and other stories would be a rich source. I am also working to develop a personal style and could use a little help. I had passed on last year’s class and regretted it ever since, so I am in this year! It is even more exciting to see that you are teaching a class – I am looking forward to it. Thanks!

Hello Ivy. I’d love to learn more about your work. I’m enthralled by the idea that it will center around Persephone…absolutely one of my favorite myths with so much to offer about mother and daughter. I’m hoping I’m lucky with your blog hop giveaway for Ever After. Fingers crossed.

  27. I shared on Facebook and on Twitter. Starting in 2016 after learning I was being laid off my job of 33 years, I decided to let my inner artist have reign. Consequently, there is a deep longing to acquire classes which will promote new skills and aid me in discovering my own sense of style. Ever After is high on my wish list for this reason. I would love to win a spot and excited to see who all will win. Kudos to Tam and all the teachers for being so generous and giving away so many spots in Ever After.

Today is my birthday! And although I can’t dash off to Scotland like you… ❤️.. I’d love to get carried away in my own fairytale this summer with Ever After!!! 👩🏻‍🎨📿🙏🏼 Thank you, thank you, thank you for the opportunity!!

  37. I would love to win a spot!! I am exploring 2d art and loving it but have limited finances for classes. I am a 3d artist (metalsmith) but have taken on a foster baby (she’s 9 months old now!) and find it difficult to get into my metals studio with her around. Painting/drawing etc is something I can do more readily with her napping etc. It is helping to fill a creative void. I entered by subscribing to your newsletter. Thanks for the chance !

  39. Hi Ivy, I heard of EverAfter through Tam. I already follow the lessons of LifeBook2007. EverAfter seems sooo interesting too: The subject but also the teachers. What I saw on the blogs is awesome and I can’t wait to dive into each and every way of making art of those teachers.

I’d love to have the opportunity to learn from all of the amazing instructors and learn new tips, techniques, and media to use! Thank you so much for the chance to win a spot!

  41. I really love fantasy and fairy tales. As a kid – and even now – I love reading about fantasy and fairytales.

I think this would be the perfect course for me. I can honestly say that art and fantasy has saved my life on many occasions. I’ve lived with arthritis and fibromyalgia for years now (I’m 26). Art really helps me a lot in my life. I don’t really have a lot of money, being unable to work, but I would love to be a part of Ever After and learn more.

Also, your art is amazing! I’d love to learn from you. <3

Shared your blog on Twitter and Google+.

Thank you for this opportunity. I was reading about Ever after 2017 and I found the spot chance. Then I came to visit you. I wish with all my heart to have the opportunity, because it costs me too much to pay the ecourse (£ is very expensive in my country). Anyway, the important thing is: why do I want to win the Spot? Because -for me-this is a special moment (my angel in heaven would have 18 y.o) and I decided for myself and in his honor, return to paint that I love ( girls, fantasy, stories etc) and so, I need help from teachers!!… Thanks (sorry my English)birthday of my angel in heaven (may 18th)

  80. I have signed up for your Newsletter and shared on Facebook, good luck to all who entered….🤞😀

  81. 2bcrafty

hi there, shared on facebook. took the course last year and had a blast so definately will be part of the course this year
    ciao joan

  82. JC Di Cresce

I shared your giveaway post on FB. I would love to win because right now things are really tough in so many aspects of my life. I used to draw and paint when I was younger. My father is an artist. It made me very happy to be creative like him but somewhere along the way quite a bit ago, I put my brushes down when I started feeling down. Fairytales are my favorite. I’m hoping this giveaway course would help me get my own magical creative juices flowing again in the sense that it just sounds so fun and happy. Love your work. Thank you for the consideration.

  83. I saw today Tamara’s post for the last chance to win a spot at Ever After, so I entered… I would love to join Ever After because I love fairytales and the course would develop my skills to draw beautiful fairy tales.

  84. Sarah B

I signed up for your newsletter and tweeted about this (twitter ID is unrelated to this email account tho ;) ) I love fairy tales and I’m stretching myself beyond the art that I’ve been doing so this seems like the perfect class at the perfect time

  85. Deb Determan

I would love to win a space on the ever after class!

  86. Hi Ivy! I shared this blog post on my Facebook page. :) I would love to join Ever After this year and share it with my daughter because art has become something wonderful we can share and that has helped us through some very rough times this past year. My daughter only became interested in art/mixed media about 6 months ago and since then, her outlook on life has become so much more positive. Art truly is healing. It has helped both of us rise above depression and work through difficult times. We’re both very excited to see what Ever After has in store for us! :)

  87. Cait

Ever since I found out about this course I’ve been really eager to participate, nurturing personal style as an artist is so fascinating to me and I always want to know what inspires other creatives. :) I love your art and have especially loved this particular myth ever since childhood. So excited to see how it all comes together. Thank you for this opportunity! I shared on Facebook.

  88. Rita Damiani
