Hello creative friends!
How’s your week been? We are in the big thaw out after waaayyy too much snow in Portland. What a mess. So, I’ve been cozy inside having far too much coffee in my brand new mug BUT look how cute it is!
Look, don’t ask me why but fun mugs make me happy! THIS mug makes me VERY happy! It also completely describes my life! When I fill it up to the brim with yummy coffee and head on up to the studio, it makes me smile. Now, that, my friends is a good way to start your morning, right?
So as you know, when I LOVE something – I like to spread the word! What better way than to do a GIVEAWAY of three of these mugs to fellow creative friends! To kick it up a notch, I’m throwing in a $20 Blick Art gift cards too! We all know you can’t have too many art supplies. ;)
This fabulous mug was created by the lovely Brooke Davies from Arrowcreek Goods. They have a lovely shop full of gorgeous mugs and they do custom work too! Make sure you go pay Brooke a visit.
How is everyone? I wanted to pop into today and let you know a couple of things! First off – Trina and I are so, so excited that we ONLY have ONE more spot left at ArtWorthy 2016!
We are over the moon happy and so grateful for the beautiful souls who have signed up to join us for this special long weekend! If you have been sitting on the fence, now is the time to snap up this spot! With a private gourmet chef, yoga, meditation, EFT sessions and loads of ART making you won’t want to miss out! Valentine’s just around the corner so treat yourself to some SELF LOVE!
Ok, so I also wanted to tell you about three FAB books that I want to recommend!
This book literally changed me! Literally. If you haven’t read it yet. Do. It. Now.
This fabulous book was gifted to me by the lovely Trina and I ate it up! Full of wit and several laugh out loud moments – you will love this quick read about empowering your life with that sweet little word YES!
And last but not least, this book knocked my artsy little socks off! Building creative confidence is not only powerful, it may radically change your existence! My belief that we are all creative beings is the cornerstone of this book and unearthing that creativity is not only your RIGHT it is your DUTY! Hiding those gorgeous gifts from the world is a major bummer for everyone!
I adore the little trailer for this book too! Check it out…
Okay, those are fresh off my stack of books! Check them out and let me know how they affect you I would love to hear about it!
Much love and gratitude to you all!

Hello! It’s been a while since I’ve brought you some gorgeous, art inspiration so here’s a healthy dose of beauty from the amazing Etsy shop: RiverLuna. Artist, Marisa Redondo creates these magical, nature inspired illustrations, full of intricate pattern and rich hues. I’m a huge fan! Now to decide which one to order…hmm.
Here are some of my favorites…
etsy * blog * twitter * facebook
After much debate, I just couldn’t resist these sweet owls for my Gracie. Can’t wait to hang it up in her room!
Go explore her wonderful collection of work – her blog is a delight too! Such talent!
Hello there! Oh my goodness, it’s been a tough couple of weeks! My little Claire bear is just now getting over pneumonia. Poor baby…and well…poor Mama. We were both sick of being cooped up so it was fantastic to take her to daycare yesterday and see how happy she was to run into the classroom and play with her wee friends.
I started the day (childfree) with a trip to the nail salon for a quick, Spring manicure! My hands were trashed from constantly washing them! It’s amazing what a coat of pretty nail polish can do to lift your spirit! ;)
Anyway, as you can imagine, I haven’t had much time to paint or do anything really BUT thank goodness for my iPad because it’s so easy to reach for it and create something minus the setup/cleanup. Here are a couple of digital collages I made this past week…
Absolutely love creating on the app – Procreate! Such fun! Oh, and I just splurged on a new pressure sensitive stylus. I highly recommend it!
A couple of other things to share with you…I just received the most gorgeous necklace from my jewelry designer friend.
It’s a beautiful piece of lapis lazuli and it resembles a dreamy piece of the starlit sky! I adore it! Thank you Amy!
I also finally got a bracelet from Becky at Farm Girl Paints on Etsy! It reminds me to keep my head up and live courageously – not easy for this girl – who tends to back away from scary or intimidating situations…
Oh and I did a little Spring cleaning in my studio! I’m hoping to start creating more frequently now that both kids are healthy!
(I spy a sleepy kitty.) ;)
And….lastly…a little glimpse of Spring blossoms popping in my neighborhood. Such a beautiful time of year!
I hope you are all healthy and happy! Enjoy your weekend!
