Create Art on your iPhone

Hello! How is everyone doing?

Life has been hectic around here but it’s all good! I’ve been busy working on getting my first online Mixed Media & Encaustic class launched! It was a fantastic success and I am so beyond grateful to have a wonderful class of artists! You should see the work they are already creating! Blows me away!

But…I’ve also had other things in the works!

The lovely Jeanne Oliver has invited me to create a new class for her abundant online creative network and I couldn’t be more pleased to oblige!

So, I’ve decided to create another digital art class – but this time for the iPhone – called Mobile Art Magic!

Our iPhones have become an integral part of our daily lives. We carry them with us at all times – we don’t leave home without them! So…why shouldn’t we be using them creatively too? You can make beautiful, rich art right on your iPhone! Sure you could play Candy Crush….OR you could use your passion for Art and create something you love!

Expand your knowledge of color, experiment with composition and use your own photography to compose stunning, layered pieces of ART! Print them out and hang them on your walls!

Here are a few of the creations I’ve made using only my iPhone!

From landscapes to self-portraits! Don’t underestimate the power of that iPhone in your pocket!

This one week course will give you the knowledge of which apps to use and how to combine them to achieve gorgeous results!

I’m so excited to be launching this class on Jeanne’s wonderful network.

Early Registration will begin July 7th, 2015 and the class will open September 21, 2015!

Much love to you all! Keep creating!

Life’s sweet gifts.

Hello friends. So, my last post was a bit grumpy – I apologize but I’m feeling much better! We got some glorious sun over the weekend and it really helped my mood! Thank you all for your supportive and encouraging comments. I so appreciated them. I hope the pics of Claire bear made up for my complaining. ;)

I’m totally hooked on Instagram. My poor hubby often sees me, nose to my phone and asks, “What are you doing?”  One word – Instagram! I love the spontaneous creativity it brings out in me. I will walk by my vanity and all of sudden feel the need to line up my jewelry and take a shot or I see my girls doing something adorable and I just have to capture it. It’s so easy, fun and rewarding to share the images with the creative community out there! So here are some of my own shots, taken with my iphone over the last month or so. Life’s sweet gifts…

My Society6 Shop is now Open!

Hello friends,

How have your Fall been so far? Portland has been delivering absolutely gorgeous, sun filled, Autumn days – but I know the rain is coming soon. We have been trying to make the most of this lovely weather by taking long walks, visiting with neighbors and of course, I’ve been sneaking in a few photo shoots. Fall has brought forth a surge of creativity in me and I finally decided to open up a Society6 shop, where I can sell my digital art and photography. Here are a few of my latest pieces…

Guess I have been inspired by roses lately!

I invite you to come visit the shop and hope you enjoy my work. Thank you for all your love, support and encouragement. You all inspire me to keep creating!

Inspired: Amy Sia

It’s been a while since I have shared any art with you all. As you may have noticed, I’ve been utterly consumed by life in general…but I do yearn to create again and I know I will, when the time is right.

In the meantime, I thought I would introduce you to a London based, textile designer that creates some truly beautiful work! Some of her pieces actually remind me of Monet’s Water Lilies, which I had the honor to view while in Paris, at the Musee de l’Orangerie. Her colors are more vibrant but the energy, pattern and luminescence is similar. A modern impressionist, Amy weaves colors together effortlessly, creating shimmering hues that seem to vibrate and shift before your eyes. Here are a few of my favorites…

Her entire portfolio can be seen here. Check out the fabulous iPhone cases and laptop skins featuring her gorgeous designs too!

Have a lovely Thursday.
