A NEW way to create

Hello creative friends!

It’s a snowy day here and I’m just getting ready to start painting but before I do, I wanted to drop in and say hello and share some art with you.

The students in Between Shadow & Light are making some amazing discoveries and creating such beautiful, soulful portraits! I’m completely thrilled to hear they are learning that their non-dominant hand has much to offer and can open up a NEW way to engage in their creativity.

A New Year full of creativity

Hello my creative friends! Happy Friday!

I hope your New Year is off to a beautiful start!

This is just a quick reminder that the Shades of White classroom is opening back up on Monday. We have a few more spots open if you want to jump in. This best selling Mixed Media class focuses on the subtlety of color and the power of composition. Registration will close on Monday or when we reach maximum occupancy so don’t miss out on this one! Other exciting news – I’m going to be introducing a series of Á la carte classes! These will be pulled from my workshops and will stand alone as single projects. A fabulously affordable way to fill your afternoon with a new project or simply try out something new!

Okay – one last bit of love. You guys know I love encaustics and I also love learning new techniques. Nancy Crawford is a talented encaustic artist and she makes great little tutorial videos. In this one she uses pan pastels with her encaustics and I just love the look. I had to try it myself. Here is a pic of my own work incorporating this technique…
