Hi there friends!
How was your Easter? We had a fabulous time visiting the gorgeous Brasada Ranch in Central Oregon. I have so many pictures to share with you but they need to be processed, so while I’m working on all that, I wanted to show you some pretty pics of the recent teacup I found. She’s a real beauty and so perfect for Spring.
She is a lovely example of 1940’s lusterware by Royal Halsey and has a beautiful pearl like shimmer. The sweet clusters of rose blossoms go from petal pink to deep garnet and are paired perfectly with swirling gold embellishments.
She is in the shop now just waiting to be loved.
Hope you are enjoying all the beautiful blossoms of Spring!
I’m stuck in bed, sick as a dog with the flu. So I won’t say much but I did manage to edit these photos today, so I thought I would share some winter white roses with you. Flowers always cheer me up…
I will be listing this sweet, vintage silver rose bowl in the store very soon!
I hope that you and your family are staying healthy!
For Valentines Day, Chris brought home flowers for Grace and I. Roses for me and tulips for Grace. We were both very pleased!
I took photos of the bouquets, of course. While I was photographing them, Grace stood watching.
I made the comment, ” Aren’t they just so beautiful? I wish they lasted forever!”
She looked at me for a moment and said nothing, as if contemplating my statement.
Finally, she nodded solemnly and said, “Yes mommy, that would be nice but then they wouldn’t be so special.” I was floored. She says the most profound things sometimes! She amazes me.
Anyway, here are the pics…a little late.
As usual, I couldn’t resist playing around with some textures. This last one is from Kim Klassen’s collection. Go check out her awesome blog. She has some amazing photography (gallery here) and lots of ideas and tips!
Have a lovely Tuesday.
Hi there. I’m having a crazy busy day but good busy…
However, yesterday, I found a little nugget of time to set up a photo shoot. Thought I would share with you..
There’s nothing like the simple beauty of a white rose.
Hope you are having a lovely Thursday. The weekend is almost here, which mean tomorrow we will go on a Friday Escape! Don’t miss it! Can you guess where we will go?
Yesterday, I couldn’t stop taking photos. The sunlight flooded in through the windows and cast a dreamy light on my kitchen table, making it a perfect stage for flowers and lace. Outside the white roses glowed and Grace found herself in our magical forest…
As you can tell, I’m having a blast experimenting with textures. They add a whole different feel to the image.
It’s the July 1st and here, in Portland….guess what? It’s raining.
I could be bummed out (and I am a little) but instead I decided it would be good to get out into the garden and take some pics of the flowers, delicately bejeweled with the summer rain.
The rain is supposed to clear up for the holiday weekend, so I guess I’m okay with it for now – like I have a choice in the matter.
Hope it’s sunny wherever you are on this first day of July!
